Collection: Diamond Pads & Abrasives

Here you will find a selection of diamond pads and various types of abrasives. Below is a quick guide as to what types of abrasives are best for each type of surface. 

• Sintered Metal - These are your classic grinding discs, like a cup wheel. Primarily used for removing lippage and the initial grinding of concrete. Recommended for moderate to heavy lippage removal. 
• Electroplated Metal - Very thin with all the diamonds exposed on the face of the pad. Used for heavy material removal without leaving a heavy scratch pattern. Recommended for travertine and limestone. Not recommended for lippage removal. 
• Sintered Copper - Used after Sintered Metal to remove the heavy scratches, but leaves a smooth scratch pattern, leaving you ready for resins in most cases. Best for marble, granite and terrazzo. Can be used for very minor lippage removal on soft stones. 
• Copper Hybrid - Used in place of, or after sintered copper as an additional transition step before resins discs. These will remove moderate to heavy scratches and leave a very smooth scratch pattern. 
• Resin - These are your most commonly used diamond abrasives, for light to moderate scratch removal. Various types of resins are used for different surfaces and methods. Not recommended for lippage removal or very abrasive materials, like sandstone.
